Hi, and I'm new here. Just wondering about some cheap Case knives being sold in blister packs at Lowes now for under $20. My question is this. Are these really wholey and completely made in the USA? I know they say USA on the blades but they don't say Made In USA....
Thanks for your time.

Lowe's used to carry a nice line of Case knives but stopped a couple of years ago and now just carry (I believe) the Sodbuster and some inexpensive synthetic handled Case knives in blister packs. They aren't knock-offs, just the cheapest knives that Case makes.

That's unfortunate too........................You used to see a nice quality knife display in every hardware store in the country.....................seems now it's all junk (at the big box stores anyway.)

Thanks for the input. I'm just trying to stay away from stuff made in China at all costs. Appreciate the help.

Last year around Christmas the Lowe's stores here in northern Virginia were selling stag peanuts and small texas toothpicks for $39. I picked up one of each. I thought it was a pretty good deal. No box however, if that's important to you.

Here's a Case I bought brand new last year for $12.50. It's really a decent little user. Everybody used to make something like this, Schrade, Camillus, Buck. Now it's down to Case and Bear, and they have a family resemblance since the Bear factory used to be part of Case. I know they don't look like much, but they are proof that you don't have to buy foreign to have an inexpensive, good quality knife.
