This one is all hallmarked, looks to be from England, a whopping 2" long.

Does anyone recognize the hallmarks?

Nice fruit knife MB. The maker is Henry Williamson Ltd and the date looks like 1921. s-k

It is unused and MUCH nicer in person. It is beefy knife and as tight as the day it was made. Goins lists Excelsior from 1880-1905.

That's amazing. A 100+ year old knife in way better condition than anything you can buy new today. I'd call this one Newer-Than-New. Thanks for showing.

Knifegirl, your fully open fruit knife in the middle of the photo is wonderful. The little decorative pins along the edge of the scales are very classy and delicate work. The maker's mark on the blade looks like GU for George Unite who was a top quality Birmingham silversmith. The additional hallmark of Victoria's head dates it to 1890 or earlier. I can't make out the date letter from the photo. s-k

The knife is marked on the reverse tang of the master blade only "Made in Czekslovakia".

Picture added below. Usually you don`t think of a very good quality knife coming from Czekslovakia, you see lots of those multi-colored springless flimsy manicure knives from there.

Not many quality ones, this was a very good quality knife, it`s in bad shape now but it took an experienced cutler to make this little guy

Aside from the different hallmarks it is almost identical.

What is the length of your knife? Another thing, my knife has brass liners and a steel uncovered backspring, Yours?

Here is a Wostenholm that first captured Bret's Sheffield heart... Alas, the main blade has been replaced. It is stamped "K.C. SEELBACH, CZECHOSLOVAKIA" It has worked liners, four blades, scissors, a corkscrew, tweezers, a pick & a nail file. The blade replacement appears to have been done a while ago. I can't imagine taking this knife apart to repair. Its so complex and the pearl was not cracked at all. The fixer had to be an expert, IMO... I haven't been able to find out any information on Seelbach. Anyone have any info?

I posted this Wostenholm quite a few pages back. It has a replaced blade. I do realize that most knives from Czech seem to be off lesser quality, but there had to be some expert cutlers there. I wonder if K.C. Seelbach, might have made yours?

Thanks so much! I will check the date letter out this weekend! I believe the term for those pins is piqued? I think Millerbro's mentioned that in the other thread.
