Can you change a blade and keep value? If blade is of the same year?
I bought a knife thinking it was a razor, but with the help of AAPK members I found ouy it wasn't!

And whats the blade type, I can't find it in my books!

It was a spear blade.

The bone has a chip out of it also. You would be better off finding a good one. These don`t sell for much money.

oops, i might be wrong. no back bolster on mine and a nail file. the flat end threw me off.

If you look at the curve in the main blade you can see it was a Pen blade not a razor blade.
also look at the nail pull and its position, its def a pen blade. ;)

A knife that has had a blade replaced is not worth as much as one in original condition.

It is, however, in my opinion worth more with a full correct replacement blade than it is with a broken blade. Whether it is worth the cost of this repair would greatly depend on the knife. Just as some cars are no longer worth fixing, some knives are not worth the cost of repairing them.


And it is a SPEAR BLADE. :wink:
