Well it seems as though the woods are full of them. Even though the pictures are bad, I can tell you this knife is not an authentic Tested era Trapper. Also look where the seller is located (Clarkesville).

Blade Runner I don't do much E-Bay but I would not want the Tested 54 nothing looks old to me. The clip blade is not even profiled like a tested blade should be, it is not even a clever counterfeit! Good work on the C-Ville connection. The pics must also be designed to deceive.

You guys are way better than me on these older Case knives, but I'll say one thing that would put me off this feed.....
The seller claims to be selling a very valuable, hard to find (I hate the word RARE, as it is open to conjecture, IMO), older knife...and he/she doesn't even offer insurance.
I know if I bought a valuable painting, baseball card...anything that there isn't another just sitting around, I sure as Hades would insure it during shipping.
Even if just to offer it on this ONE item.
Maybe the seller doesn't think the knife is valuable?

Well, you often hear things like, "even a beginner could spot this one" yet you see this everyday. $555.23 for another POS. Even though you are tempted to feel sorry for the buyer, it is a fact that anyone that would throw away this kind of money without the knowledge to know better must have more money than they have sense!!!
