Another Fundraiser for Tank

Post by Mattman »

I really hate to even mention this, so many people on here have responded so generously, but we have enough money as of right now to keep Tank in nurses until maybe December. His brother, who has been sitting nights with him, has to go back to work so that may speed up how fast we go through the money.

As of right now, his next benefit is scheduled for November 6th. If you have any money you would like to donate, please send it to Anthony Meeks Charitable Fund, 3585 Highay 142, Michie, TN 38357.

If you have any knives you would like to auction off and donate the proceeds to Tank, like several of you have already done, that would be great. If you have any knives or anything else you'd like to donate to the benefit so we can raffle or auction it off ourselves, please send it to Anthony's address above.

You guys have been one heck of a group. No other group has come through for Tank like you guys have, and believe me, he's appreciative and proud. I hate to call on you again, but we have to keep him going. There is some kind of new insurance coverage Tank may be getting soon, so hopefully we'll only have to ask for your help a time or two more.

If you haven't already made friends with Tank, here's his facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/#!/tankmeeks?ref=ts I'm sure he'd love to hear from you...

Thanks again for all you've done,

Matt Barnes

Matt,

My "cash tank" is low at the moment, although I was proud to make a couple of donations recently. However, I do have a mint vintage Camillus Electrician's knife (no box) that I would be willing to donate for auction for Tank's benefit.

Let me know if this would help.

Last week keithw generously donated a stag AAPK knife to be auctioned off to benefit Tank. It was bought by Big Don Don for $130 with all proceeds going to Tank.
Several of the members present agreed to make a donation as well.

If anyone has a knife or other item that they would like to dontate to be auctioned off on the Thursday night auction or otherwise, I'd be happy to offer my services in auctioning the knife or other item.

In addition to the Thursday night auctions, another option is to run the item on the auction thread whrere bidders post their bids over a period of a week or so.

Tank (Anthony) is a great guy who truly needs our help, so I'll be glad to assist anyone who wishes to do either one. I also can provide paypal information or a mailing address if you wish to make a direct donation.

I am donating this knife for Tank.

It is a Remington R-3, 5 1/8" long closed two locking blades. It has awesome Stag handles ::drool:: It weighs in at 9.2 ounces :o

I would like Phil to auction it off this Thursday at the next live chat auction.

Phil will set the start bid, bid high on this one ::nod::

I hope this can help Tank in time for Christmas.

I will post this over in the Thursday night auction thread also.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Dimitri
