Single Blade - Mason & Sons

Post by dd1360 »

I picked this one up at the flea market this weekend. It is a single blade with Mason & Sons. Wooden handle. I searched the name and got a manufacture date of 1870-1871. Does anybody have any extra info?

Not sure if this is the same company but I picked this 8-bladed pearl congress awhile ago marked,"H.W.Mason cutlery Co.".Levine's 3rd edition lists Mason and Sons as being from Canton Ohio but with no other info.

Read my latest book "Great Eastern Cutlery" and you will learn all about Mason and Sons. GREAT story and nice knife by the way. VERY collectable for sure.
