Here is a Cam I have from the 40's (I think) that made me think of yours although mine has no shield.
This is what made me think there might be a connection between K- K and Cam. ::shrug::

Aside from my bad pics, What do you think???

Hi Marty,

I don't know for sure if Camillus contracted knives for E.C. Simmons, but I think it is certainly possible. I know Schrade made a lot of knives for E.C. Simmons. Most of the Schrade-made Simmons have a "KS" prefix on the model number.

Oh, what a sweet knife came to me today. A Pal. 3 5/16" long and a bit wide... 13/32"... I mean it's kind of hefty. It has sizable backsprings, especially for the main blade. Goins say it was made between 1940-45. No Remington stamps.
It looks and feels to be unsharpened, but as you can see the main tip is above the frame a tad, and the pick on the little pen is low. Just enough to reach it. The joints are all nicely sunk. Half stops. No wobble. Walks and talks like the little pip that it is. Steel liners. What else......Oh, I think I got a good deal on it. More on the way!!

THESE BACKSPRINGS MAKE THIS PAL ACT LIKE A BIG BOY.

Thanks tj.
I have one comeing to me that truthfully made me think of you. I have come to realize that you like the little handsome knife. I hope it's everything I imagine of it as far as pictures relate. It's quite simple, tipped bolsters even, but a standout.
We'll see. Comeing soon.
