Western States Hunter With a Dogshead Shield???????
Did Western States make this knife or is it a Union Cut Co. or Kabar with a Western States blade? If Western States used a Dogshead shield, it new to me.
I know they made the pattern. He also states that the lock doesnt work.

Your probably right!
I havent seen this before (but that means nothing), but the seller assures its correct and even has pictures of one in a book
Just amagine what we could have if we got to choose a knife that we didnt know existed. You know theres awsome knives out there that never had a pattern on made any book!

I found it in Sargent's 2nd edition, Page 249. I believe it is the same anyways.
Here is a Photo.
Thanks, Steve

In Sargents 3rd. ed. I found the knife in question, (p. 396) but also found another with the dogs head, made by Union for Western, up side down.
(p. 392) Western Dogs Head is news to me too. What does the dogs head signify in KaBar or Weatern? Thanks.
