Camco Fish Knife

Does anyone know the years that Camillus produced knives under the trade name of Camco? I've searched collectors-of-camillus.us and there is only one catalog year showing production of the Camco name. I got this knife today, there is only Camco, USA stamped on the tang. No series number stamped on the opposite side. The one catalog that does list Camco shows only a single bladed fish knife, mine as you see in the photo has the two blades. If anyone that is familiar with this particular model would share their knowledge with me, I would truly appreciate that. It's a very solidly built knife, half stops on each blade, good snap on opening and closing. Being a Camco, I'm suspecting that the scales are composite, but there is no shrinkage showing. Don't know about it-but i like old fish knives i have a few they were alotta peoples first knives

The Camco brand was introduced in 1948. There were no Camco knives made prior to that time.
I think they were produced until Camillus closed in 2007, but am not 100% sure on that.

The Camco brand was introduced to be a less expensive alternative to the regular Camillus brand.
Sword Brand was the top of the line at Camillus.

It appears your knife has jigged black celluloid handles.
I would date it to the 1950s or 1960s.

Dale, Thanks for your input. Typically, I'm not a collector of fish knives, but this is a well put together knife. It feels nice and solid in my hand, no blade wobble. Thanks again, Bull
