Whats on the blade?......or is that a reflection?

There is a reflection, original stampings, and some specs . blade has been sharpened at a wider angle than needed. I dont think there is any width lost ,just needs cleaned up from being sharpend improperly. If you want more pics, let me know. thanks Tim

When you lift the cork screw are there any numbers on the brass liner? These would be Puma's way of dating their products. If not then this will be a pre 1964 which is the year Puma started dated their knives. Plus you have the original sheath which is hard to find because of the tanning process they used back then. Overall you have a nice rare old puma 3591 Waidmesser (Games Keeper) $175. is a fair price.

wazu013, there are no numbers stamped behind the cork screw (see pics). It does have the numbers 3591 on the blade! After getting her back out and looking her over, i have decided to keep her awhile longer! Sorry for the advertisment fellas, Tim

Keeping it is a wise nove. I have one that was kept mint under glass for 40 years and came up for sale after the owner became ill. I paid less than $250 without the sheath. It took me two years to find the proper sheath for it. I have seen them sell for twice what I paid. I also have a Hubertus Waidmesser that I found with the original tag still attached to it. In fact I have pictures of it along with some other Hubertus knives posted on the Hubertus thread here on AAPK. The older ones are rare because they were made to use.The Puma is a little more stout then the Hubie but both are great collectables. Put a coat of Renwax on the knife and keep it out of the sheath during storage. Protect the sheath. To replace it will drive you nuts,trust me.

I'm not the best with a camera. My wife does all the picture taking but I got a few my Puma and Hubertus Waidmessers. Let's see how they come out

wazu, those are really beautiful knives! Thank you for sharing them. I have seen the Puma with a punch ,a phillips head , and the cork screw. Have you seen them with any other variations? Buy the way, this thing is probably one of the sharpest knives i own. Tim

Thank you. I have only seen the corkscrew and punch, never a philups head screwdriver. Have you ever gone to pumaknifeman.com? He knows all things puma. Your right about how sharp the knife is. I can shave with mine.
