canal street

anyone have a good bit of knowledge with canal street knives? are they any good? I just picked t his one up price wasnt too bad and it's numberd to 50 I think and this is supposed to be number 1. anyway it looks nice(I think)

i have a couple and plan to aquire more. every one i've seen has been exceptional. i have'nt seen any celluoids before. that is a cool looking knife. how is the fit and finish? i think they have a bright future if we're not invaded by china.

I have heard that they are really nice, but don't own one......yet. :mrgreen:
It was started by some of the best cutlers form Schrade.

Rich Langston is the man to ask about these. He is here in AAPK in the new Knife Lore forum. His AAPK handle is lt632ret.
I know he has been to the factory and is an authority on all the knives made in the Hudson River Valley from the 1800s to present. Pose your question to him and I know he will give you a more complete answer than I could.

Thanks all, this is a SFO for smokey mountain knife works, they said it was serial number 01 of only 50 and the material is Cornucopia Micapearl (real nice) it's the first and only canal street that I have seen with cell handled I can't wait till it gets here.

That is one beautiful knife! I have a couple of CS knives, and I am very happy with them.
