Buzz Parker ebay listing.

Post by Hukk »

Take a look at this knife, he knows when it was made, but won't say what generation it is. Anyone know if it was a first, second or third generation?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Bulldog-Brand-Lumbe ... dZViewItem

This knife was made in 3 generations, 1st (1978-1987), 2nd (1988-1992), and 3rd (1993-1995).

Please vote for what you think is correct.

Lets just vote for a couple days and comments on Sunday, lets see how votes stack up. Thanks for your participation!
This is a 7 day poll.

I put a poll on 2 lumberjacks, the answer to which generation has something to do with the blade, for 1, something else on this knife also.

I think I can field this one Hukk. It is a second generation Bulldog Lumberjack as evidenced by the spade shield and long matchstriker pull. The 1st generation has a short pull and a diamond shield. What is odd is how often this knife shows up in relation to the 1st Generation in light of the fact that only 36 were PURPORTEDLY produced  .
I think Buzz knows it is a 2nd generation knife but prefers to not say and call it a 1983 which is on the blade. The 2nd generations were not released until 1991 even though they had the old blade date.

Olderdogs1 nailed this one 100%. Yeah, they keep showing up a lot for only 36 made. We know some of the stag ones are cobbled, possibly this one too, but we can't tell for sure. A mark of a dishonest seller, anyone who withholds information from an auction is not trustworthy. You just have to know that he knows, after all his daddy was Jim Parker.
Thanks olderdogs1, I have some sowbellies I think I need to take pictures of and get comments. There may be some surprises on those.
