How do you store and carry fixed blades.

Just recently I got a couple (eight) fixed blades and I got them for the purpose of trading and selling.

So what do you store and carry your fixed blades in? I tried a knife roll and found the elastic loops too tight.
normally I carry my folders in a tackle box because of the individual spaces.

Just looking for some unique and different ideas for fixed blades.

For my Randall I bought a zipper case with two elastic bands on the back to hold the sheath, my other knives stay in their sheaths, all stainless steel exept an old PAL Mark 1 which has a carbon blade, but this knife has its original fiber sheath and a Steve Brooks hunting knife that I use frequently and always gets its touch of oil before it goes into its sheath.
I wipe them from time to time with some Ballistol and that is it.

I usually store my fixed blades out of their sheath just to be on the safe side.I know a lot of people who say they've stored their's in the sheath with no adverse affects, but I'd rather not take the chance.I put a light coat of oil or whatever protectant seems appropriate on the blades,guards,bolsters,and pommels and loosely wrap the knife (and the sheath separately)in acid neutral tissue paper,then store in old shoe boxes in medium to low humidity area at room temperature.This all might sound extreme,but it's worked for me...and it's a fairly cheap method.I'd be careful with the tackle box for your folders...I've had a couple tackle boxes (for fishing tackle)that have reacted negatively with what was in them,due apparantly to the plastic compound they were made of.Not all seem to do this,the better brands seem to be made right...just a word of caution...

Swiss Man Hello; So what do you store and carry your fixed blades

I have many fixed and folder knives mostly new and shinny ones.
I use Ren-Wax on the knifes even CELLULIODS. On stag I use Formby's Lemon Oil Treatment for a day on each side (Use only Formby's). Then Ren-Wax the whole knife. Wax then rub like you do your car after was has dried.

I use this dehumidifier also.

I hope this helps you. Its the best I know of.

I never carryed a bunch of knives yet so no help on that part. Other than I box then even if I have to make a box for them. The post office have lots of boxes you can use.
