Re: snap repair
There is a way to fix it, but it would require the knife to be completely disassembled and the worn tang area and worn spring to be TIG welded and then reground back to factory specs and then put back together. I've done several knives this way and while it is effective, it may not be cost effective as it is labor intensive and quite time comsuming. You may want to reconsider my offer of a trade of another XX Era knife that has good snap as I collect that model and will send you a 92042 with some blade wear but good handles and good snap on both blades. If not, no hard feelings, I'm just telling you what would have to happen to restore snap to that blade. I've found no other way that works. If someone has another way I'm willing to listen.
