abbreviation

I've been doing this knife forum for awhile now and I like it, but I have a question I don't get the abbreviations. Would post what they mean?

why don't you jot the ones you don't understand down and list in this thread and i bet they will all be explained. i too am challenged as to meanings sometimes.
for instance:
lol=laughing out loud
imo= in my opinion
there are variations on these as well. and many more.
