Remington Sur-Shot
Anybody know anything about this? Is it a new repro or a nice old vintage? Sorry for the poor pic.

I would say a relatively recent origin...

Sur is shiny! I've never seen one before. Definitely "old style" bolsters. Great job if it is a repo.
I've got a camouflage knife, but I can't find it.......

Its a fairly new knife. I first saw them in the early 2000's. I think they are 12 of the picture handled knives in the series. They could be bought for less than $5 a piece when buying the entire set. There was also a wooden display case specifically marketed to go along with the set. I see individual knives from the series being advertised at $12- $15.

Thanks Fellers. They had one on FleaBay for $15. Glad I passed on it now.

Re: Remington Sur-Shot
Nice collection. With all it makes sense, only one is a waste of money.
I used to squirrel hunt and used a Stevens 16 ga. double. I was shooting Remington-Peters high brass. I was in the woods and saw a tree rat coming down the trunk of the tree, about 40-50 feet away. Pulled the gun up and fired - nothing, fired again - nothing. By this time the squirrel was stopped on the side of the tree. I reloaded both barrels and fired two more times - nothing either time. Now the shells were firing, there just wasn't any shot coming out, never even jumped bark off the tree. I know that I had gotten a box of shells with some without shot. Found the wads, lost the squirrel. Never bought those again.

Well, if it wasn't the shells then it had to have been the gun

I would not let $10.00 out of pockrt for each of these. If you get a complete set with the original case then I would let a few more butterflies out of my wallet, otherwise save your money for an old bone collectable.
