Here's one of my congress knives...what have you got?

I received this 3-3/4" Hen & Rooster congress as a birthday gift in 1979. I've never used it; I guess it is just too pretty! Matching scales, square tangs, slightly yellowish bolsters, long pulls and swedged blades, and silky action. Unfortunately, it is starting to develop a couple of spots. Rats!

i think the congress is my all time favorite pattern. that's a nice hen and rooster mtds. how are you trying to preserve it?

Those Congress patterns are great!
Five of my favorites in picture from top and left to right are:
Stag handle Colonel Coon (made for me by Tennessee Knife Works), Bone handle Fight'n Rooster, Case white bone, Stag Hen and Rooster and at bottom dog head shield Ka-Bar.

Here's another of mine. I bought this 4-1/4" brute used in 1976 for $4.00. Anyone know how old it is? By the way, in case it doesn't show well enough in the pictures, the scales are just Delrin.

TCT- I really like that old Ka-Bar with the clip secondaries

From the 1852 Sheffield Directory:

Winter Edward, springknife manufctr. Balm green; house: 37 Smith street
Winter James, springknife manufacturer, 24 Furnace hill

Both names are also listed in the 1849 Directory.

here are a few case congress, a barnboard jig, a christmas tree jig and a yeller cv. the christmas tree goes to the family gatherings and cuts tape, etc.

Even though these are newer versions, these 5 are my current favorites. They are all 1 of 1 Yellowhorse / Case Customs and are engraved and documented as such. There will be no more of these made. The knives are orginially 1 of 100s of the Case Regular production run Vintage series.
Brian took it from there and gave them his touch! Thanks again Brian!

This one has seen some use, and it will see more from me, still takes a razor sharp edge, I have been using it the past few days, just picked it up saturday at a show for $5, IXL, I am figuring late 1800's? All 4 blades are tang stamped, the bone is worn smooth. I love old knives like this
