Knife Slip Pouches

Post by tjmurphy »

Anybody know where a feller could pick up some suede leather pocket knife slip pouches such as comes with some of the Case knives. Wanting the large size. Looking for reasonable prices and used will work. Thanks a lot.

TJ, My wife made some for me out of chamois. She used her regular sewing machine.

If you want the regular Case black suede ones there are always some on the Shepherd Hills Cutlery site and bet they can be found on others. Personally, I prefer the sackups (silicone treated cotton).

Every time I open up a Case Brothers knife from a collection that has been placed in those Case pouches the NS bolsters are gold-brown and have to be buffed to get the color back. Don't know if it is the chemicals or what. I would go with the silicone treated idea if you don't have someone on duty to sew up the chamois (that is a good idea).

I checked on the Case pouches and they are $1.50 - 2.00 each; and the silicone versions are $1.30 - 1.60. But the silicone versions do not have a loop for closure.
