Boker Makes Hen and Rooster.
I only recently learned - on this website of course - that Boker manufactures the current Hen and Roosters for Frost Cutlery. I collect both so I pulled out a couple to compare. The black one is Boker's model 240. The Blue one is a Hen & Rooster model 332 CBJ.

Re: Boker Makes Hen and Rooster.
There's a fellow not too far from my house who sells knives wholesale. He has quite a selection; Boker, H&R, Eye Brand, Queen, Case, Buck, Sog, Kershaw as well as may of the Chinese Kissing Cranes, Boker Plus, Magnum, Schrade, etc.
I went to visit yesterday and the Boker rep was there. I asked him if Boker was making knives for H & R and he said that they have stopped. The shopowner speculates that they will either be made in Spain (which I already see some made there) and/or China.
Of course we don't know if any of this is true, but I will start looking closer before I buy new H &R s

Re: Boker Makes Hen and Rooster.
rma,
I've noticed on eBay that pics of H & R knife boxes of the knives made in Spain, do not have the line "Made in Germany" on them. I guess that's one way to tell.
Since Frost owns the H & R name, I'm surprised that they've continued to make them in Germany as long as they have.
Spain is a decent substitute, I suppose.
On a somewhat related subject, as you noted Boker made Henckels knives until production was stopped. I've always wondered who made the later German Kissing Cranes. As I understand it, the Robert Klass factory was shut down many years ago. They look very similar to Olbertz knives (Eye, Fight'n Rooster, etc.), but some of the older models are similar to Bokers too. I guess they could have contracted through both.
