Question about the liners and bolsters on a LB7/buck 110

Do these knifes use a 1 piece liner/bolster? I have never seen a gap between the bolsters and liners on these knives, but I recently picked up a chinese copy of the LB7 and it has visible gaps that make the knife look like crap.

I was wondering if it would be possible to fill these gaps with a yellow silver solder used for Brass musical instruments?

I polished one of these chinese LB7s and it actually looks really nice except for the gaps.

I don't know about the imports but original schrades and bucks are one piece, they are cast but new ones can be milled from any material. I ave many ideas for frames from different materials as soon as I get my milling machine.

Upon close examination of the chinese LB7, it appears that the bolsters are simply riveted to the liners. They will never get the same quality as a buck or US LB7
using that method.

So with the milling machine you could make a copy of the LB7 frame in something like stainless? That would be cool

precisely . And LOTS of other materials too. Brass, nickel, copper, stainless, titanium, damascus, anything
