Imperial 883?

Post by Joe Dirt »

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum but a long time collector of sharp things. I'm searching for an Imperial 883 made by the Imperial Knife Company, Inc Providence, R.I. USA. I can't even find a picture of it - much less the knife! Does anyone have one or any info on it? I just posted a "want add" for it! Thanks, Joe in N.C. USA
I've got a camouflage knife, but I can't find it.......

Hello Joe Dirt,

I think at one time I owned a few Imperial knives ... can't remember what model #'s they were though.

Curious and maybe this needs to be a new thread .... how many North Carolinians are here on this site .... maybe should take a poll ?

Schrade had a 883, they were made by Imperial which bought Schrade. They are listed under Schrade Open Stock and Schrade older knives. No picture but may help with your search if this is what you are looking for.

These Imperials are the pre Schrade/Ireland USA manufactured ones. I'll try to take a picture of the small display and post it.

I've noticed that there aren't many eBay sellers in N.C.!

Thanks for your input on this knife so far............

O.K. here are a couple of pictures of the display with the missing "883" at the bottom. The spot for the knife is 8 1/4in. long. I'm pretty sure it is a folder..... well, maybe a fixed blade....... well maybe a folder............

When I saw your display it reminded me of this post from awhile ago. Unfortunately the Diamond Edge Display is diferent than your, and does't have that knife. ::dang::

There could be a diamond edge fan on here that might know though.
