Old Henry

Great site and I appreciate the work involved in making it so good.
I'm new at collecting pocket knives and have a few older ones that I'm looking forward to researching.
I ran across some one telling me about Old Henry knives. Not Uncle Henry.
Any one ever hear of Old Henry pocket knives?

I think they got the makers of Rough Rider all over them.

Funny they look more like Case than Schrade.

I was looking for the history of Rough Rider Knives...did not know they are American Owned...we all know CHINA made.

of course the knives are made in the People's Republic of China.

Seem to be several of these new 'confusing' brands in the 'Bay.
Seems someone trying to capitalize on well known names w/o infringing on copyrights.
Like this Old Timer + Uncle Henry = Old Henry.
Saw an 'almost right' sounding German name but can't remember it right now.
Wasn't Earbrand or Fightin' Chickens but something similar.
Watch out for those Roledex watches too.

I emailed SMKW and it seems that they do not own Rough Rider Knives for clarification.

If that be the case, then Steve Coontz and Tony Watson got right on national TV and lied like rugs about it cause they plainly stated that Rough Rider was SMKW's own brand. I have also heard Steve Coontz mention on multiple occasions being involved in the development and selection of new patterns and designs they had produced under the Rough Rider brand.
If SMKW does not own Rough Rider, please tell me who does.

I don't watch much TV maybe once every three months so I guess I missed their appearance and statement of Rough Rider Knives ownership ; )

I will defer to your TV observations and take you at your word ; )

Good News!

SMKW confirmed that they do own and design Rough Rider Knives, thats a definitive for collectabilty. Its no wonder Rough Rider Knives are outstanding!
