case classic question coke bottle

i dont realy know any thing about the classics, but, ive been told of a knife here localy ive not checked out yet, from what i can tell it may be called a large coke bottle, brownish bone handles, may have the date stamped on the tang, was told it is prety mint, and $125.00 is there any thing i should look for to make sure its what its suposed to be, or even if it is all right is 125.00 out of line ?? thanks for the help .

Hello cbnutt,

Without a picture it is difficult to tell you what type of bone handle.
The knife should be marked 61050SAB or 61050 depending on the type of blade. Look for a Bomb or Bowtie shield
Should have the date tang stamped, most were made in 1990 and 1991

That is a 61050SAB Hunter Pattern, looks similar to a "Coke". 125 for an "as new" knife is not bad.

i think from what i have herd it will look like that, only was kinda desribed as more of a lighter or honey look on the bone, ill dig into it some more and see if i can get a hold of the guy that has it, didnt know if they dated all the early 90,s with the actual date stamp or just the classic, thanks..........

got a look the other night, it has case bros. or something like that ecthed on the blade, dosent have the 2 X,s like the one in the ebay pics ?? and a a regular case shield.
