I have a couple knives id like to know about. I have a crappy camera but ill show some pictures anyhow. Maybe with a description someone could help.

First i have what seems to be a very old knife. American flag pattern on it with a single star on one side

It says what im pretty sure is

Boker
Mproved
cutlery

On the bottom of one blade with a full tree on the back

On the other blade it has only a tree but this tree has alot of branches missing from it unlike the other boker tree insignia


i have to add the other two as new posts i guess, it will only let me put one picture at a time...

Many people think that the best 'camera' you can use for taking pics of your knives is a flat bed scanner. Give it a try; use different colors of paper/fabric to cover the knife and bed instead of the scanner cover. Great pics will help you sell the knives, whatever they are... on ebay or other places.

My own preference is to use a digital camera. However, I do not try to get "close up". I use an Olympus with a 10x lens and a 4x digital zoom which makes it a 40x digital zoom. For example the picture I used for this post was taken from a distance of anywhere from 4 - 10 feet (this is what I always do) and I used the digital zoom to zoom in. All of my pictures are done this way and this picture is one I picked at random. I do not use a macro, just a standard digital camera, Olympus C-765 and sometimes a small Olympus C-50 (12x). The mistake peolpe make is to try and get too close and they end up with "Fuzzy" pictures like the ones I see posted. Often I will use simple software (that came bundled with my PC) to crop the picture to bring the image closer. Works EVERY time and I think it works better than any scanner. That's all I do, stand back, zoom in and crop if necessary. I'm not a professional photographer, just self taught.

to tell you how crappy this camera im using is... it doesnt even have a ZOOM feature lol... very soon im getting a good olympus for the simple fact ive used them before and it worked perfectly for what i wanted done... this one is sad lol...
