R1123----A mystery knife???? Plse show those R1123 knives
Hello, if I may start out by asking about the R1123. I have only seen a few(less than a hundred) R1123 knives, so I am trying to still learn about them. My grandpa told me that this particular bullet pattern was made with both blades pulled from the same side(as the catalog shows), yet nearly all the bullets I see the master blade pulls from the front and the secondary blade pulls from the back. Yep, this is true. According to my grandpa(was a knife collector since the 1960's and since passed away), the reason for this is because remington warrantied the knife. Hence, if you broke the secondary blade and sent it back to the factory, they replaced the blade but swapped the way it was pulled. His belief(speculation), this way the factory would know if they already fixed the knife for the warranty. What do you other collectors believe??? Thx Mark

I hate to disagree with a Grandpa, as I am one myself, but I have never seen a 1123 likeratlesnake75 wrote:Hello, if I may start out by asking about the R1123. the catalog shows on the pulls. There are other differences also in real knives from the catalog.
