Older Schrade

Post by sheathmaker »

I have a mint, in the plastic bag,in the original box with sheath, in the original packing sleeve from the factory, Schrade 51OT with brown derlin scales. It, of course is a fairly large lock back single blade. It has been in the bottom of my gun safe forgotten for about 25 years. If there is a Schrade guy out there who knows something about this knife, I'd appreciate any and all information including an opinion about what it's worth. I am not a Schrade collector so it will wind up for sale or trade.
Thanks for your consideration.

Paul,

I'm going to suggest that you visit and post here......

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forum ... .php?f=732

There are some of the most knowledgeable collectors/users of all things Imperial Schrade, on the planet, that frequent that forum. Rich Lanston, authority on domestic autos, and all things Schrade, as well as several others will help you. Sometimes even Ms. Debbie Chase, former Schrade historian, will chime in.

A picture would help a bunch.

Bill, Thanks for the link. I went there immediately and it's already posted over there now. I took a lot of gun and knife inventory home with me when I sold my Western Auto store many years ago and that knife was part of the stuff. I probably sold that pattern for about $10.00 to $15.00 that long ago. Thanks again
