Case tested scout yellow comp?

What do you think of this? I can't find this handle material for a 45 pattern in any of my books. I'm calling shenanigans.

I agree with MM in thinking the handles have been replaced. They do, however, look to have been on the knife for a good while as they show considerable wear and tear. I would have to give the seller the benefit of the doubt on this one, in that he may not know that the handles are not original to the knife.

Since it looks like those handles have been there for awhile, whouldn't it be more likely that a case tested blade was stuck in another knife?

That is actually a "junior" scout pattern (090)...note the 3-3/8" length and the slim frame...45 pattern is 3-3/4" and is wider in the body. Definitely a rehandle as that is not even celluloid.

Why do you think this knife was rehandled in that God awful, ugly, yellow plastic material?
If one was to go thru the trouble of putting on new scales, would one not use stag or bone?

I agree with knifeaholic, a Scout Junior. What is even more obvious is there is no shield? I still cannot find a reference for the jr. with a Bail along with the fluted bolsters? Ref. Knives and Razors, Jim Sargents 6th edition
