Post by cbnutt »

Couldn't answer that honestly but My oldest Trapper is from 1974 and it has No half stop but has a Hell of a back spring,it almost jumps out of your hand when it snaps open

cool , ::tu:: iam thinking its probly ok, exellent snap on both blades, spey blade i think still has factory edge, clip is probly 95% full just guessing, prety redish brown bone, i gota little scared after "thinking" they didnt use brass, and i guess i had the idea they should have half snap.

I think your ok Cbnutt,

I have a few trappers with brass liners from the 70s.

Half snap I think depends on the knife.

I find the jack knives have half stops

My 54's all don't have half stops.

I'm sure that's a nice one, I'm a real fan of the 70's

Hey cbnutt,

Here are two 54s one with brass and one nickel, neither have a half stop. Both are 10 dot knives (1970).

Good find..........................you'll enjoy it!

No half stop on trappers, on some patterns, yes. Trapper, no.
