Schrade Cut Co pen/manicure knife

Just acquired this 3 1/8” Schrade Cut Co 3 Blade Knife with pretty brown bone handles and a nice oval shield. Very nice condition and solid.

Marked - Schrade / Cut. Co. / Walden, N.Y. (c. 1917 - 1946 Goins)
Scissor's marked - Schrade / Cutlery Co / Germany

Anyone tell me about this knife. The Germany marking on the scissors has me confused.

Jack, I'm not up on Schrade knives but the scissors could have been made in Germany for Schrade then imported, and the rest of the knife made here in the USA. I think Case did something similar, they had some file blades made in Germany for them and the blades had the Germany mark on them, with the rest of the knife made by Case. Maybe orvet or one of the other Schrade teacher members on here will drop by and give you a more definite answer. Hope that helps.

Thanks Aimus for the response. What you said makes sense to me. Just curious about Goins showing a Schrade Cut. Co. Walden Germany tang stamp as an early Schrade - circa 1904. Wonder if this somehow relates to the stamp on the scissors? Probably not, your guess sounds right.

Aimus is probably right as far as the scissors being imported. The German Schrades had the tangs of the blades marked "Germany' as well. Nice knife though, I love those old Schrade gent's knives!
