A nice little user case

There are good deals to be had a flea markets. Went to one this morning, and was rewarded with a little '72 stockman, black comp. handles, all blades are nearly full and the backsprings are still good, whould be a good little user. Now, my question is this. I have had slight trobule identifying this knife by the tang stamp, but did the best I could withthe info provided here on AAPK. the stamp reads 087HE. I deciphered this to mean. It is is a three blade variation of the two blade sperpentine jack knife pattern 87, and has a sheepsfoot and pen blade designated by the HE, how did I do? I usually don't just buy stuff that I don't focus on, but heck for $6, where you gonna find a case knife for $6 that is even close to being in one piece? Now, for the BIG question, rehandle or not? . I'm thinking desert ironwood maybe? I'll polish the composition up first and see how well I like it, may just leave it alone.

You could always just forget all that extra work and just double your money.Ill gladly give you $12.00 for that knife. HaHa. $6.00 cases at flea markets just doesn't to me.

I love old knives like that, I'd clean it up & oil it & make a good toter out of it!!
