Someone needs to invent a time machine... Seriously
Every time I browse through some of the old knife company catalogs, I see all these fantastic tools. Knives I would love to own... selling for $6 a dozen. I recently came across a Kingston 250 recently and have it on the bench right now for the "Sev" treatment... it's a fantastic little knife. The last two kingston's I bought are the same way, just outstanding knives, especially considering they're twice my age.

Anyone else have a 'Time travel" shopping list?

A couple thousand dollars worth of Remington Bullets at 20's prices would make a man rich today.

Boy, I feel the same way. But if I could go back in time I'd be shopping for Martin guitars, Gibson mandolins and Gibson banjos.

Personally?
I'd pay a visit to old Francis Bannerman and buy out his whole damn Island Arsenal. 1860 Army Colts, $4.00, Colt Dragoon Revolvers, $5.00.......
I've been meaning to drag out one of the two old catalogues I've got from the 20's and see what kind of folding knives he had back then too.
There are some reprints of his books out there and they are a wonderful reference source, but it sure makes ya sick to see the prices stuff was selling for up into the fifties before he went out of business completely and the arsenal burned.

Adam,
Your thread got me thinking, so I ran out to the shed, fired up my machine and ran back to 1947 to do some knife shopping.
Those Kingston 250's must have been popular. This was the only one I could find and the last they had, so they gave me the box.

So THAT's what a Kingston is SUPPOSED to look like!

Adam,
When you invent that time machine, I want to get in on the ground level.
