Help with tang stamp

Post by derf red bone »

I have a question about a Kutmaster Knife...it's a 3"3/8" blade Jackknife with delrin handles. The main blade is stamped "Kutmaster Utica N.Y. USA" On the reverse tang it is stamped with a "T" . Does anyone know what the "T" on the reverse tang stands for? Sorry I don't have a picture of the knife we are working on this. Thanks D Redbone

T is for "Tungsten"..."Tungsten Stainless" was Utica's name for their stainless steel pocket knives.
