My 88 year old Mother was going through the contents of her cedar chest and came across a pocket knife that was her Father's. She gave it to me and I started trying to find out about it. It is stamped on the larger of the two blades John Primble, Belknap Hdw and Mfg Co at the base and on the opposite side is stamped 5733 and below it a star.
I am hoping that someone can tell me approx how old it is and possibly who manufactured it for Belknap. I really enjoy pocket knives and am looking forward to looking more into this site.

Hey thanks a lot. That's more than I had before. I got interested in pocket knives last year, it's fun to dig for info on them.
