Christmas Gift from me to me
I've been Widowed for 3 years; and have to buy my own gift.
This is mine from me to me by way of Kaleb (MM).
Hope you don't mind I used your photos; it's cold here
and my camera fogs up outside.

Paul,
Were you really that good of a boy this year to get something so nice as that?
Beautiful knife.
Great looking work.
Happy New Year.

That ivory toe is some kind of fancy schmancy little beauty.
Paul, do you mind if I tag my gifts to me on to your thread? Not trying to hijack your thread. It just seems like a good place to bunch up the self gratification Christmas gifts. You and I can't be the only ones who bought our own gifts.

Phil when you live alone this time of the year; the naughty and nice thing is out the window.
It's easy to justify a purchase;
want this, need this, got to have this, deserve this.
cbuntt, another example of Kaleb Reynolds (MuskratMan) super work;
here at AAPK. Looks even better in hand; if you can imagine that.
Jerry D, no problem I'd like to see what everyone; rewarded themselves with this year.
Jack thanks, I've enjoyed looking at some of the great looking knives;
you had customized by MM.

Wow! Congrats. I've never really cared much for the "Toe" pattern, but after seeing that ivory, my appreciation is growing and growing. Very nice.

Re: Christmas Gift from me to me
tj, certainly would not be my choice for an EDC;
but I have always liked this old working pattern.
Hope to find an old Case Brothers; that I can afford someday.
Thanks Knife Nut, I think it turned out nice; I knew it would coming from Kaleb
These are the scales; I plan to use on the next ones; I have done.

Re: Christmas Gift from me to me
I finally got around to breaking out the camera. The knives are not as nice as Paul's but I felt I was very generous with myself this year. I'm happy so that's really all that counts.

- Someone posted this S&M English Jack and I immediately fell in love. I looked high and low for one with no luck. One night I got up about 0100 for a head call and couldn't go back to sleep. I was fiddling around online when the thought hit me, "What about SMKW". Son of a gun if they didn't have one. Took me about a half hour to pull the trigger but I'm far from sorry. Love it as much in person as I did in the picture.
-
- This bad boy was calling my name from the first time I saw it on eBay. ForensicJim had this S&M Slim Coke Bottle up for bids and I thought, from the picture, it looked a lot like the English Jack I had just bought. When I opened the box, my mouth dropped open and I just stared. I couldn't believe the size of this monster. No regrets here. What a beauty (in a 6' 2" 180 lb Amazon sort of way).
-
- I picked up this S&M off eBay. I promised my self I wasn't going to get involved with the old ones but this little beauty is just my style and the price was right. Already being in the Christmas spirit probably influenced me a little so this old gal joined my stable of lovelies. The handles look like linen micarta to me and the tang stamp looks pretty old. She's in good condition though with a sharpened blade, some rusting of the carbon steel blade and a couple of handle cracks on one side of the handle.

What is that? Looks like a sheepsfoot blade, coping blade and maybe a Wharncliffe or another sheepsfoot blade??? All my favorite blades in one place. What's the pattern & pattern number?johnny twoshoes wrote:I bought this knife with a Christmas bonus, so I guess its from me.![]()

Re: Christmas Gift from me to me
A Santa who goes by the handle "coffecup" got these two to me on the 24th:

They are to be found in my RFP (bottom) for TL-29 and Watch pocket for Barlow!
If I want to get anything super cool for Christmas I pretty much GOTTA buy it myself. This Christmas we are unemployed and so no such purchases.
