2006 NKCA Club Knife

Post by SFC ADP »

Hey all, it has been forever since I have posted anything!
But I just got my NKCA knife in last week, and I was wondering if anyone else got one. I got the Case model, and had a few questions about it.
1st: The original ad said the knife was supposed to have the NKCA shield and the Case shield on it. This was in the April 2006 newsletter.
2nd: the knife is stamped Kinsfolk... not Case, which I am not familiar with Kinsfolk, is this a Case Company?
3rd: Two of the three blades have different #'s stamped, one has USA, 3254 SS. Now if it is a Case Knife, there would be a 3 for the 2nd number and not a 2.
the other blade is stamped: USA 6354W SS
Which this one would make sence to me.

Any info about the manufacter of this years knife would be greatly appreciated. It did come shipped in a Case box, and is labeled Trapper Walnut 6354 SS. (That is why the other stamped blade does not make sence to me).
I have #425/880

That's odd. Do you have photographic evidence?

Kind of a Crappy Scan of the knife.
The left blade is called a Wharncliff Blade, that one is stamped:
USA
6354W
SS

the middle blade (Skinning Blade) is stamped:
USA
3254
SS

and the clip blade is stamped:
Kinfolks
USA

Kind of baffles me that it would not be stamped as a Case knife.
The pattern numbers are throwing me off as well, which I am sure the number 6354W is the correct one... but what was the purpose of the other?
Any info or thoughts you all may have would be appreciated.
I have not contacted NKCA as of yet, as I would like to see some other idea's before I ask.

well from the add you scanned, it says it will have a wharncliffe blade and kinfolks jigged handles, so maybe that's why there is a kinfolks stamped blade. no idea why they have a 2 blade stamp on one blade. maybe like my dinner tonite - left overs.

Yo Scully,
I did a job for NSA tracking Kinky in Texas, his numbers are starting to look good & that new CD has Willie on there. He's been in the 'Latin Lettuce' again, Got to be some kind of plot. I was alerted that the handles were Sandbar on this NKCA knife, that maybe next year. Walt has me tracking chads for these aliens now, any your way?
