Possible fake Tested XX Case with punch
What are your opinions on if this an early counterfeit? The pattern is not on the blade. Looks like a 3347PU possibly. Thanks in advance.

Re: Possible fake Tested XX Case with punch
I am far from a Case expert but the knife looks legitimate to me.
Some old XX knives did not have a pattern number. I see no signs of tampering, and I doubt that a counterfeiter would put shrinking celluloid handles on one (though stranger things have happened!)
I will be watching as the real experts chime in, so that I can learn more too.

Looks okay to me. Probably a 3347 as you say, or a 3318. Would help to know the closed length. Most TESTED XX era knives do not have pattern numbers.
