Good morning AAPK. Same post as yesterday, hot and humid. This time there is a chance of rain, which would definitely set us back a little on our already slow timetable at getting this job done quickly. It's supposed to hit 92 with high humidity like yesterday. We were supposed to be getting help from some of the church members but the heat has kept them away. The mattress on the bed at the outpost where we are staying is much more agreeable to my back that my old one at home. I really need to stay home long enough to purchase a new one for our bed. On Saturday I'm planning on heading South for a large antique show that has been really good for me in the past. This weekend won't have enough time in it to get all the stuff done that I have planned and we will likely be heading back up here Monday morning. I gotta get moving. Have a good Wednesday._____Dave

Good Mornin', Dave and other Diners.
76° this morning, supposed to have some rain in the late afternoon and tomorrow along with the elevated temperatures that so many are enduring across the country.
4 deer just walked into the yard looking for Sand pears, there is not a bumper crop like last year. Strange how that works, there is good heavy crop of Satsuma oranges this year and there were none last year because of the cold weather, this year's cold affected the pears but not the oranges.
Dr. appointment went well, glad I got my shower earlier yesterday morning, the power went off a little before 7am. The coop had a service truck out on the main dirt road when I left for the appointment. Back in business when I got home before 10. Mowed for a little while yesterday in the woods. Tuned up a road the goes out through the south side of the farm to the paved road running east and west.
Today's activities will include house work before I get to go outside and play. Bible study this evening and probably a trip to the store for a few necessities.

Morning folks, 72 heading to the upper 80's. Feels alot better this morning not as mugugly as it was the last few days, I could even get a breath this morning.
Wampus was on the steps awaiting breakfast chowed down and left.
I gonna have to mow but it's supposed to be cooler tomorrow so I may put it off.

Morning diners,
Well, we made it through our four day oven. It's currently 77 and we're looking at a high of 91 with NO heat index. Even better news is the temps are going to, very gradually, drop in to the eighties as the days progress. And that always good!
Zero on the schedule today. Wife is going in to get roughed up by the chiropractor this afternoon. Looks like some computer baseball for me.

Good Mornin', Diners!
We had a humdinger of a lightning storm last night with a little bit of rain, one strike was really close. It was one of those that the flash and crack/boom was all at the same time, it got the mini-dachshund's attention. He was wanting to go out and get a piece of whatever that was!
Seems like yesterday was overwhelmed with phone calls from acquaintances from the past for some reason. Good to hear from them and catch up. We recorded a high of 96° yesterday, when I headed out for Bible study around 6pm, the the temperature was 90 and the feel like was 112° and after dark came the thunderstorm.
Workday today, time to switch implements on the tractor again, almost ready to plant the punkin' seeds.
Coffee was good this morning, getting light enough to see what's happening in the yard.

Good morning. Rain expected today at times which will mess with our progress. Yesterday the lift we have rented failed, and the rental place is supposed to be bringing us another one sometime this morning. We will be here next week which isn't going to go over well with the wives. I'll be losing the SIL next week from feeding my chickens because he will be back working after taking a few weeks off after they had their kid, so I'm hoping to train one of my great granddaughters in this weekend. I gotta run. Have a good Thursday.____Dave

Wampus was here ate with gusto and cut out for his hidey hole.
Got everything watered and the birds fed.

Good morning. We are packing up to leave after work today and head home. It's supposed to be a decent day as far as weather goes and maybe the heat and humidity have finally moved on. Yesterday was just plain nasty with rain stopping us in the morning and extreme humidity the rest of the day. We did get some siding up without the aid of the lift. The rental company promised us a working unit by morning, but the owner had a family emergency and couldn't get us one until late afternoon. We will have it for several days next week so we can get the high stuff done. This Saturday I'm hoping to get to the antique show down South and I have a bunch of stuff to get done at home before we head back up here for the week. Jane called me this week to inform me she had accidently broken my green glass cookie jar that we've had since we were first married 57 years ago, and I will try to find a replacement at the antique show. They run between one and two hundred dollars on line, and I'm hoping to find one for around fifty. It isn't easy being an old guy that doesn't like change. I better get packing. Morning folks, 64 was the low, upper 80's by afternoon, rain likely around midnight tonight.
Wampus was on the tractor seat curled up waiting for his breakfast ate and went back to resting. I Fed the birds.
Got my grass cut and some roundup sprayed yestiddy need to get back on that this afternoon along with some weed eating.
Buddies at Hooters, then a quick trip to BJ's.

Dave, sorry y'all are having difficulties on your job so far away from home but we all know situations like this are typical in all of the phrases of life. It's a real blessing when everything comes together without any hiccups and that doesn't happen often when remodeling or following someone else's work.
bighomer, wish I was done mowing! Time to start another round, come on October!
Our workday didn't have too many bumps in the road yesterday. My helper had hurt his back a few days ago and we had to do things a little differently, probably didn't get as much done as normal but that's okay. We were able to put the finishing touches on the garden spot inside the hopefully "deer proof fence" by noon. Since the 30X80 spot is so small we gave up on the idea of a few rows of Zipper Cream peas, just 2 rows of punkin's with 7 "hills" in each row. Plenty of room for the vines to run if they grow, roughly a 10' X 10' spacing. Got the seeds planted yesterday afternoon, need a shower on them.
73° this morning, back in the 90s most likely today with those ridiculous "feel like" temperatures above 110°.
School teacher daughter says it's raining in Panama City this morning, maybe we'll get some of the forecasted precipitation.
Mentioned the other day about a dead deer in a pond, somehow the buzzards pulled it up on the north bank of the pond and we're doing their job yesterday afternoon.
Last day of July, seems like the year is flying by.

Good Morning Everyone!
Admittedly I have not read all the prior posts but I hope all of you are doing fine. In my area they are forcasting 104 degrees with 67% humidity. I won a few knives in the last Voyles auction and I'm waiting for them to get here. Also I've done a little work on a Frankenstein knife after finding a suitable unmaked blade for a melon knife to go with a spring and liners I had. But right now my priorities are still getting some more work done on my wood burning art. With all that said I better finish looking over all the current posts and get busy in the shop.
