If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Good Mornin', Folks. ::handshake::
It's not raining right now but must have been earlier, a few drops still dripping from the front porch roof. Had showers off and on yesterday but not enough to measure along with variable winds all related to Bertha. Stayed in doing paperwork and filing most of the day. :( Maybe we can get back outside most of the day today.
Bible study tonight and probably a short trip to the store later.
Enjoy the day!

Good morning. 48 degrees to start the day but it's supposed to get warm the next few days. We finally got some siding on the church after a slow start. I'm hoping things go faster today. My back was giving me trouble yesterday afternoon and evening but feels better this morning and I slept hard most of the night, at least until 1AM. Jane says all is well on the home front. Take care and have a good Wednesday.____Dave

Good morning knife friends. I have one more full day's work up here and then some time tomorrow, probably around noon when it's predicted to start raining, we'll head home for the weekend. It's getting obvious that it likely will be a little more than the two week job we were hoping it would be. Way too much stuff that was supposed to be done before we got here, wasn't, and then stuff was added. I've spent the equivalent of a full day bending metal to cover the foam insulation around the cement slab and I'm not done with that yet. The guys tearing off the old siding damaged it pretty well all the way around the building. There is some fancy siding work done on the front of the church behind a large cross that will burn up some time. I took pictures that I will try to load into the computer when I get home this weekend. My back and legs are telling me that Friday can't come too soon. I've called Jane a few times each day and it appears that all is well on the homefront. I have Bible study at our house Saturday morning that I have to prepare for sometime before then. Have a good Thursday and stay safe and cool.____Dave

Mornin' Y'all

MN Dave, ain't that the way it's supposed to go when you rely on others to be ready for you ... ::doh::

Off to a great start here in Dixie. The filter fell over, so I'll be chewing my coffee this morning.
Ohh, whoa is me

Only thing on my agenda is taking the car in for service and then to sprawlmart. I need to finish sharpening
the Camillus barlow I bought from Jeff, but 2 thumbs acting arthritic haven't been up to it. arrghhh!

Yawl have a safe and cool pre-Friday
Chris
i woke last night to the sound of thunder
how far off i sat and wondered
started humming a song from nineteen sixty two
aint it funny how the night moves

Good morning fellow knifers . Cool and calm this morning. 51 degrees and getting up in the 70 s . A great day to be outside. Starting off with pickleball at Outdoor court , then maybe some things out in the shop will get done. And maybe not and will go fishing instead. Life’s good. Dave , you take care up there and don’t over do it! You all take care out there.

Good Mornin', Diners.
There you go Dave, putting the rest of us old fellers to shame with your great work ethic! ::poke:: Reminds me of Miss Joy's dad, a "hard charger"! God bless you in all you do.
Chris, I like your term of "pre-Friday", that would've been a useful term back when I was gainfully employed.
Workday today, got several things that need doing, disk the punkin' patch again and then remove disk harrow and hook up the bush hog(rotary mower) on the tractor. That stuff used to be so easy to complete, wonder what's going on? ::shrug:: I'm thankful for the 2 special friends that have been helping at Starvation Plantation for 10 years!
Got rained out yesterday with the yard mowing. 0.3" isn't much rain but it made mowing impossible. Winds were swirling yesterday, today appears to be back to normal if there is such a thing. ::hmm:: The weather folks are saying we'll be back in the mid 90s again for a few days.
Y'all have a productive day!

Howdy folks. I've got a busy two days of cranking potatoes through a spiralizer ahead of me. Every year the EAA show comes to Oshkosh. For a week Oshkosh has the busiest airport in the world. 700k people will attend throughout the week with 40,000 people camping the week through. I've been wanting to get a foot hold in somewhere to be able to set my stand up somewhere. In the middle of everything would be too crazy. They have the big boys set up shop there. Names like Subway, Papa Johns and Jersey Mikes move in temporary setups to buildings on site. Chaos and madness abounds all up in there.

Im looking to set up out on the fringes, out with the people. Ask and you shall receive. We were invited to set up on a lady's property that she converts to a temporary bar. We're word of mouth only, no advertising or social media. It feels good to have my small business constantly validated with recognition and invites. We'll be there from 4 until 10pm today and 11 to 11 tomorrow. In my experience, fellas with planes usually have more coins to rub together than most. It's my hope that many such coins land in my money box and tip jar 8)

150 pounds of potatoes and 12 gallons of cheese. Lets gooooo!!!!

That's my Etsy store where I sell old knives and sometimes handmade knife accessories to support my knife habbit. Thanks for looking my friend. ::tu::

Wishing you the best for your event ! The weather should be nice . Several friends are heading that way and are pilots . One has his own helicopter at home . And yes they’re not shy about spending .
