Glad to be here

Post by Jack Jones »

Hey everyone,
I collect arrowheads and cactus also, I really like schrade knifes I've owned them all my life but i always use them till there gone.
i have a lb7 with brass bolsters that is tarnished any way to make them bright again. ive been buying all the knives that ive owned in the past, small old timers...ie 14ot 18ot 12ot 12uh and so on. so far just replacing some of my old favorites.
you guys got alot of info here, it will take me awhile to wade through it all.

Brasso will take care of the tarnish on brass bolster knives. Flitz and Semichrome will do it too as well as others.

Reading your post above, make sure you don't store the knife in its leather sheath. Most often then not, a green waxy-like substance called verdigris will form, and it actually eats away at the brass. Something I have learned from this website and experienced in person.
