Tough Week

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Tough Week

Post by OLDE CUTLER »

It's going to be a tough week with my wife's younger brother being moved to hospice today with untreatable lung cancer and a family reunion where all family members will basically coming here to bid him farewell. The family reunion was scheduled a year ago, but the location was changed last week.

That does really change a reunion, but I don't know of anyone who has ever regretted getting the chance to say goodbye. There is a peace that comes from it. I am praying that everyone does have peace and comfort.

I'm sorry to hear that, I know that's unsettling for your wife to lose her brother.
I pray your family has a joyful reunion and that they would be comforted by the Lord in this time of upcoming loss.

I know that's got to be difficult to navigate. Perhaps if everyone will consider this reunion is just a preview of the great reunion when we shall gather around Gods throne for all of eternity.
My prayer is that Gods peace will be upon all of you as you gather, and that your BIL will not only feel the love of family but also the love of Christ.

Update
All the family members from out of town arrived for the family reunion and were present at his bedside when Roger passed away at 8:27 last night.
