Cool Copperlock, Tony! I love the Wharncliffe Coppelocks and have several. Always wondered why they didn't do a Wharncliffe Mini Copperlock.

I don't think I have shown this one that I made for my brother. I believe it was a Boker frame with a newly made Wharncliffe blade from 1095 and Buffalo horn handles.

OLDE C - that is some gnarly Buffalo Horn....kind of looks like a piece of pahoehoe from the lava field just down the road from where I live

Kevin - beautiful wood on your TV Stockman; any idea what type it is? Also, it's cool to see a Wharncliffe included on a multi-blade knife; somewhat unusual as typically a Sheepsfoot seems to be more common (or two Sheepsfeet on a four-blade Congress)

Mel - that's a very classy pack of MOP Bulldogs.....love the Ivory on the little dog


In keeping with the fine handle materials impromptu theme of the day, allow me to present this Mastodon Ivory handle Buck knife. Sharp-eyed viewers of this thread, and/or the "Do You Canoe?" thread, will recognize this as the very same model that Sasquach has posted previously that we here on AAPK have dubbed a "Canoose Wharnoe". Although it's the same model, this is a different knife from Charlie's, so now there are two confirmed sightings of this rare and elusive knife

Congratulations Q!!!! You found one!!! I have no idea how many of these knives were made but we know where two of them are.

Interesting Buck Wharnoe, Q! I'm sure there aren't many of these out there, so it's great to see the Wharnie King & King of Canoes were both able to score one. Love the beautiful Mastadon Ivory on this one as well!
And that Tuna Valley I posted is dressed in Brazilian Cherry Wood.

My First Contribution To This Topic Or Thread…..

A couple or few years ago, I saw on eBay that there was a seller who had several wire jack pocket knives with different blade styles AND from a wide variety of manufacturers. I am by no means an expert on wire jack pocket knives. I figured he was able to acquire quite a few wire jack frames, and assembled them with different styles of blades that had different tang stamps. Most of these "modified" wire jack pocket knives, have brass or bronze pivot pins. I waited for, and finally found one. A wire jack pocket knife WITHOUT any tang stamp, and I bought it. It measures 3 1/4" closed and 5 3/4" open. This pocket knife does have a WEAK half stop. This pocket knife does have an OK opening snap. This pocket knife does have a GOOD closing snap. This pocket knife is in EXCELLENT condition. This pocket knife did NOT need cleaning at all.
I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

I won't tell anybody if you won't, Skip. ( Looks more Sheepsfooty to me). That's a very cool knife. I never see them out and about in my travels, here in Georgia. If I ever do, and can afford it, I'll snatch one up!
