Thank you Q! I was not aware of the AAPK history in that little knife. Nice to know!

Kevin - Ten top notch knives.

Here is a Bulldog Whittler that just joined my collection. It is the smaller version: 3" closed.

Nice Bulldog, Mel! ::tu:: The Wharncliffe Whittler has always been one of my favorite Bulldog patterns.
Cool Copperlock, Tony! ::tu:: I love the Wharncliffe Coppelocks and have several. Always wondered why they didn't do a Wharncliffe Mini Copperlock. ::hmm::

Here's one more as WW draws to a close, that I recently posted in the Micarta Monday thread.

I don't think I have shown this one that I made for my brother. I believe it was a Boker frame with a newly made Wharncliffe blade from 1095 and Buffalo horn handles.

Great selection of fine handle materials being shown today, gentlemen :D

OLDE C - that is some gnarly Buffalo Horn....kind of looks like a piece of pahoehoe from the lava field just down the road from where I live ::nod::

Kevin - beautiful wood on your TV Stockman; any idea what type it is? Also, it's cool to see a Wharncliffe included on a multi-blade knife; somewhat unusual as typically a Sheepsfoot seems to be more common (or two Sheepsfeet on a four-blade Congress) 8)

Mel - that's a very classy pack of MOP Bulldogs.....love the Ivory on the little dog ::tu::

In keeping with the fine handle materials impromptu theme of the day, allow me to present this Mastodon Ivory handle Buck knife. Sharp-eyed viewers of this thread, and/or the "Do You Canoe?" thread, will recognize this as the very same model that Sasquach has posted previously that we here on AAPK have dubbed a "Canoose Wharnoe". Although it's the same model, this is a different knife from Charlie's, so now there are two confirmed sightings of this rare and elusive knife :D

BTW, I'm still looking for an Oar Carver. ::shrug::

Cool Bulldogs, Mel! ::tu:: The Wharncliffe Whittler is one of my favorite Bulldog patterns and the Pearl & Ivory on those are beautiful!

Interesting Buck Wharnoe, Q! ::tu:: I'm sure there aren't many of these out there, so it's great to see the Wharnie King & King of Canoes were both able to score one. Love the beautiful Mastadon Ivory on this one as well!
And that Tuna Valley I posted is dressed in Brazilian Cherry Wood.

Q - that Buck is a beauty. I have never come across one of those, so I believe you when you say it is rare and elusive.

Dale - Another pair of nice old survivors!

Another Wednesday in the books. There were only nine knives this week. But, every knife posted was a really fine example.

Great knives this week, guys! Not only good looking, but very interesting, too! Q, maybe you and Charlie have the only two in existence! ::shrug:: And a couple of real rare ones there, Dale! Love seeing something rare and new - at least to me!

My First Contribution To This Topic Or Thread…..

A couple or few years ago, I saw on eBay that there was a seller who had several wire jack pocket knives with different blade styles AND from a wide variety of manufacturers. I am by no means an expert on wire jack pocket knives. I figured he was able to acquire quite a few wire jack frames, and assembled them with different styles of blades that had different tang stamps. Most of these "modified" wire jack pocket knives, have brass or bronze pivot pins. I waited for, and finally found one. A wire jack pocket knife WITHOUT any tang stamp, and I bought it. It measures 3 1/4" closed and 5 3/4" open. This pocket knife does have a WEAK half stop. This pocket knife does have an OK opening snap. This pocket knife does have a GOOD closing snap. This pocket knife is in EXCELLENT condition. This pocket knife did NOT need cleaning at all.
I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.
Caption(s), if any, are on the BOTTOM of the corresponding picture(s).
Click on a picture to ENLARGE.
I won't tell anybody if you won't, Skip. ( Looks more Sheepsfooty to me). That's a very cool knife. I never see them out and about in my travels, here in Georgia. If I ever do, and can afford it, I'll snatch one up!
