Just received this Demonstrator from Steve (knifeaholic). Pretty good shape for it’s age!! Thanks for looking and any thoughts on it or comments.

Re: The Robeson Cutlery Company
Very nice knife.
After looking at as many Robeson knives as I have since early 1988, I don’t think they made a Demonstrator for every pattern.
Off the top of my head, I can think of only about a half dozen or so, different patterns of Demonstrators.
So, I’m somewhat at a loss to explain their purpose.
Your’s is particularly nice and I haven’t seen that pattern as often as others.

Re: The Robeson Cutlery Company
A few days ago, this “physician/doctor” pocket knife arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. It now becomes my first example to be posted under this topic or thread. I did NOT buy the group or lot of pocket knives to obtain this particular pocket knife. But, it definitely turned out to be a keeper. It did get added to my general, pocket knife accumulation. It is a ROBESON, two blades, two tang stamps, 3” closed, two springs, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp is in the BLOCK style. The main blade front tang stamp says, “ROBESON (over) SHUREDGE (over) U.S.A." The main blade back tang stamp says, “622195”, the pattern number. The main blade does NOT have a half stop. The main blade does have a GOOD opening snap. The main blade does have a VERY GOOD closing snap. The secondary blade does NOT have a half stop. The secondary blade does have a VERY GOOD opening snap. The secondary blade does have a VERY GOOD closing snap. This pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. This pocket knife did NOT need any cleaning. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

Re: The Robeson Cutlery Company
Glad you got that one.
I’m a bit intrigued by it, as it appears to have strawberry Delrin handles and the tang stamp and pattern number on the reverse of the main blade are most often found on bone handled knives.
I think you have a “transition” knife and if so, it’s the first I’ve seen.
