I've spent over 30 years studying the history of WWII and building up a small collection of WWII weapons, tools, patches and medals, etc... etc... I have an extensive library on WWII and at one time I had over 1000 WWII history books stacked in every corner of my house. However, I am by no means an expert in any measure on WWII.
One thing that reinforces that statement, is the fact that I did not know that the USA military was actually procuring and using Japanese made bayonets ... I thought that the US-Japan trade relations had somewhat "soured" by the time the US entered into WWII.....
You learn something everyday....
