Case TB I1117

Post by Denverlh »

Hello, I can’t find another example of this knife…for sale or sold.
Looking for some perspective.
Thanks

Swayback gent pattern TB117. Pattern designed by Tony Bose, thus the T.B. in the pattern number. The I is for the mammoth ivory handle covers. The first ”1” is for the single blade, thus T.B. I1117. The date code stamp is 2010.
The extra “X” at the end of the long tail C denotes the knife is from the 2009 serialized commemorative set of tang stamps from various eras. Note the date on the box is 2009 but the blade has a 2010 stamp - all examples I saw on knifedb.com are the same way. Per knifedb.com there were only 35 of each handle material version, per stamp era. Which is probably why you’re having trouble finding other examples like it.

In other words yet another way for Case to make a “rare” collectable knife. ::nod::

May be more than you wanted to know but since your question wasn’t specific I “dumped”.
