My trip to the mailbox after my morning stroll yielded a box that I was anticipating on Friday, but it was there a day early, much to my surprise. Inside the box were the expected items and an unexpected one. My friend Steve from LKSKNIVES sent me a Stanley No. 69 Boxwood & Brass One-Foot Four-Fold Carpenter's Rule! How cool is that!

Folded this thing is about 3 inches long and a half inch wide and the perfect size to carry because in my trade I’m always looking for a ruler to either measure a knife or leather slip and now I have one that I can easily carry in my pocket. Thank you, Steve. Your generosity and thoughtfulness are greatly appreciated.

I have been Bombed again from Tom/Bestgear.
Ordered a 2 pocket Deerskin 3U prototype wallet. It is as soft as can be already making pocket rotations with the knife slips I ordered a couple of weeks ago.
Now with the custom slip for my LF&C that’s with Glenn getting the old gassing celluloid handles replaced with some pretty Mastodon ones.
Tom was gracious enough to go to Glenn get dimensions and make a custom slip. Once I get the knife I will have a slip to protect it.
I am not waiting for the knife to use the slip it is in my pocket today with an etched Remington out of dad’s collection. Yesterday it had a Little KK that dad gave me more than 40 years ago.
I enjoy the leather work and all
I really enjoy the new friendship that I have formed.
Thank you so very much
A few different pictures from yesterday.

I am a couple days late in posting this, but I got bombed this week by Pringletree!
Chris had noticed that I have an old Camillus 4-line Tip Top barlow that I love, so he sent me a companion to keep it company! Anyone who knows me knows how much I love an older knife with a little wear, and this one fits the bill! The pen has light snap and significant wear, so I may remove it. The Main is worn but not worn out, and of course ebony is never out of style. I may or may not work on it, but either way it will get some pocket time!
He also included an Imperial with a powerful and true message.
Thank you, Chris!

Hi Reverand:

You're welcome! I was happy to pass the Tip Top along to someone whom I knew would appreciate it for what it is--a nice old pocket veteran with perhaps a little life yet to live. The Imperial just sort of fell into my lap as part of a knife lot that I bought and, of course, you immediately came to mind.

Thanks, WW, for the kind words.

Great bomb with a greater message. Doesn’t get any better than that for both sides of of the run.

About a week ago Tom (bestgear) reached out to me asking whether it would be ok if he could give one of our members my mailing address. Like a little kid anticipating Christmas, I’ve been checking my mailbox on a daily basis. Today was the day I saw a box. I rushed upstairs and anxiously opened it. It was a good thing I was sitting at my desk because the first thing I saw was the Moki logo. So, without further ado:
We all know that knife people are some of the nicest folks around. Let’s just say that at a difficult time in my family’s life one of our members reached out to me unsolicited and helped restore my faith. Mark (Sharpnshinyknives) sent me this magnificent collaboration he did with Moki. It is their Kronos model done up Culpepper’s barbed wire bone.Thank you to him specifically and to all the AAPK members who are a pleasure to deal with on a daily basis.

Glad you like it Alan. That photographs beautifully. I think that one is even prettier than the one I use daily.
I’m also glad that you got a blessing when you needed it most. The Lord has an amazing way of working through others, give all the praise to the Lord.

So I decided to pair my TCJR Leatherworks slips with a RoseCraft Blade for Father's Day gifts and reached out to our friend Tony at Corn Creek Cutlery to see what he might have tucked away in the back of his safe. Low and behold he came through and yesterday a Priority mail cube arrived with the knives that he agreed to part with.

But in typical Tony fashion, what I thought was coming wasn't everything in the cube. Tony bombed me with a RoseCraft Blades Tuckahoe Jack dressed in Gray Barnboard Jigged Bone. This knife is a single bladed sleeveboard jack pattern with a 2.5” 14C28N spear point blade with a brushed satin finish, long pull, half-stop and heavy swedging. The hand-jigged Smoky Gray Barnboard Jigged Bone covers with brushed stainless steel bolsters, liners, and nickel silver pins are stunning. This is the first time that RoseCraft Blades has used the heart shield which to me represents the friendship that Tony and I have established over the years.

Thank you my friend, it will be added to my budding RoseCraft Blade collection with a note for my heirs to understand the depth of our friendship. ::handshake::

Ordered this Kershaw from Kershaw after Dale posted about it. It came today along with another one, the one with the blue tint. The letter from Kershaw said that they were drawing and giving one to every 10th order. So thank you Kershaw!
