Civil war Bowie ?
Good evening friends ! I picked up this Corsan , Denton , Burdekin knife today at an estate sale . The blade length is 7 7/16” , with an overall length of 12 1/16”. The sheath has a Brass ring at the top and it is metal lined inside the sheath . The blade width at the widest part is 1 1/16”. The sheath has a name written on it , which is hard to identify , but below the name there is clearly the letters E M which are both capitalized . It certainly appears to be a genuine piece. I love the eagle on the blade , and the liberty ribbon . My questions are if you guys think it is a real legitimate piece and not a repro ? Secondly , would it be considered a wartime piece ? Thanks for any and all help

Here is a shot of the inside of the sheath metal lined . The handle appears to be German silver. Here is also a shot of the personalized signature on the sheath .

I know nothing about this maker, but thanks for posting.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Definitely not a repo, it's the genuine article
The sheath appears to be a later replacement as the originals were very flimsy and easily damaged.

Your welcome
Don't polish, buff or otherwise alter the original patina of the knife.
If you do so it will considerably decrease the value of it
