Post by Little Rock »

Hello, the following knife on ebay is not one that I have seen. I certainly have not seen them all but I would like some more knowledgeble opinions on it. The stampiing, the sheath, etc. Check out pictures.

Hi Little Rock,

Welcome to the forums! I don't know much about fixed blade knives myself, but I do believe that this style of knife (Kodiak) was first introduced in the early 60's. That one in the picture looks like one of the early models because of the tang stamp, and aligator print sheath. I believe that stamp was used pre 1965. Correct me if I'm wrong please someone... It was definitely in Case's production catalog at some point in time.

Hi Bryan,

Thanks for your response. I have several and had just not seen one with those markings and sheath. It appeared real but I wanted an expert opinion.
