Large KA-BAR fork

Something I have not seen before. Large KA-BAR marked fork. Anyone have any history?

I'm guessing military.

I have two KA-BAR chef knives that are not nicely finished at all and I always thought they were military ware.

That's a big honkin' fork.
The tines seem disproportionate.
Almost looks more like a fish spear without the shaft.

If you've got the time, the will and a way, I'd love to see your chef knives. Kitchen Cutlery made by pocket knife manufacturers is an interest of mine that's somewhat niche. Chef's knives are often the most difficult to find in the category because those never get given away.

The stamp was used late1942 or sometime in 1943 to maybe 1947 so it is ww2 era or just after. I have seen a few of them, just haven't wanted to pay asking dollars for a fork. They are cool, and the tines are proper.

Weird guy, I don't mind older kitchen cutlery either, I have a nice small KA-BAR cleaver with original tortoise celluloid handles and a wood handles KA-BAR chefs knife and a couple of packing house skinners. Have a Case XX chef'f knife somewhere too.

Look like good users. You're right very minimalistic, even the stamp is very simple. Triple riveted though, built for heavy use. Thanks for showing them.

A google search came up with a fork that may or may not have sold at $92. Seemed a pile and half but I guess if someone has to have it ?????
