That is a pretty cool old Kutmaster. Regarding the time spent, sometimes I find myself spending a lot longer cleaning an old knife that the end result really warrants.

For me it is more about the relaxation of working on the knives, than it is about the value of the knife.
The act of cleaning and saving the knife is it's own reward!

Amen, Reverend. I agree that there is a lot of satisfaction and relaxation in working on them. Yep, worrying about
the money factor can take the joy out of many things.

The points bite! The really small blades are the worst for me when I am using sandpaper. I have two boxes of Band-aids handy, just in case.

Saw this little Kutmaster at the flea market today and passed it up. Kept thinking about and went back. 3$ was too good to let it go!

Very recently, this pocket knife arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread. It also became the latest example to be added to my general, pocket knife accumulation. I did not buy the group or lot to obtain this particular pocket knife. However, it did turn out to be a keeper. It is a U.S.A., two blades, one tang stamp, 3 1/2" closed, “dimpled” rivets or pins, tipped bolsters, two springs, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says "U.S.A." The main handle side says, "YELLOWSTONE PARK" The other handle side says nothing, it is blank. Because the pins or rivets are the "dimpled" style, I suspect either COLONIAL or The Ideal as being the makers of this pocket knife. More than likely, this pocket knife is a COLONIAL product. The main blade does NOT have a half stop. The main blade does NOT have an opening snap. The main blade does NOT have a closing snap. The secondary blade does NOT have a half stop. The secondary blade does NOT have an opening snap. The secondary blade does NOT have a closing snap. This pocket knife is in VERY GOOD condition. This pocket knife did NOT need cleaning. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

Nice little knife. Going back was a good choice. For every knife that I have regretted buying there are at least three that I regretted not buying.
