Case tested frame
Just bought a casexx 5254, compared to a modern 3254 and the bottom bolster is shorter. Is the 5254 a tested frame????

Re: Case tested frame
If you can post photos of the trapper I may be able to tell you what the frame is. Tested frame lower bolster is VERY narrow. "First Model" XX frame is somewhat narrow.
Last I checked with Wayne, his wife has stopped making the knife slips. I used to buy them 300 or more at a time.

Re: Case tested frame
This must be a first model cause it is just little narrower, maybe 1/8".

The 5254 first model stag is more common than the 6254 first model bone. Both really nice to own. Be nice to see pictures of your knife. Harold
